Los Angeles, CA
Located in West Los Angeles, the new 50,000 square foot Yeshiva of Los Angeles Boys High School consists of a complete remodel and major addition to an existing two-story structure. The projects is comprised of 12 classrooms, 2 science laboratories, a new gymnasium, temporary art exhibition spaces, a conference facility, a state-of-the-art technology library, as well as a synagogue.
By strategically placing the various components of the project, we have created a campus setting within a constrained urban site and a limited budget. A series of courtyards not only link these building components, they also provide spaces for student interaction and outdoor teaching activities. The materials used for this project include smooth exterior plaster, copper shingles, glass and Jerusalem stone.
