Associate Principal, Senior Designer
Craig Booth has over 20 years of diverse architectural experience covering a wide range of project types. For the last 15 years, he has worked alongside Mehrdad Yazdani in the design and execution of projects, and has become an integral design leader establishing a clear design vision within the Yazdani Studio. As an Associate Principal, Craig has a hand in the majority of the Studio’s efforts — whether it be as a Senior Designer, Project Architect, or as a mentor to the younger talent. As Senior Designer of the Studio, Craig explores alternative design solutions and ensures consistent review of the evolving design with key representatives, as the team moves through the design and development process. Craig implements and details Mehrdad’s visionary design and is the conduit between the consultant team and the design team. He is instrumental in the realization of any Studio project — from close collaboration with Mehrdad in the project’s infancy — until the documentation and delivery of the project.
Craig is a multidisciplinary team leader capable of project execution from conceptual design through project completion. He has the ability to combine experimental design with a mature resolution of pragmatic requirements, along with a high degree of technical expertise. His projects include the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and the City of West Hollywood. Recent work includes the Songdo Clubhouse and Villas - a part of Korea’s first Jack Nicklaus Golf Course, the US Federal Courthouse in Toledo, Ohio and the Kaleida Health Global Heart and Vascular Institute.
